Graph-TA aims at encouraging researchers working with graphs and graph-based technologies, to present their current work and research lines in order to foster collaboration among them. Thus, the workshop will provide a forum for presenting and discussing research results and applications in the domain of graphs and should be seen as a great opportunity to meet people working on similar graph-based technologies. We aim at representing different communities, from computer science researchers working in the fields of database technologies, pattern recognition, etc., to researchers in mathematics and physical sciences, representing, for instance, the graph theory and complex systems fields.
The topics of interest are (but are not limited to):
- Graph technologies and databases
- Graph matching
- Graph based learning and clustering
- Social network analysis
- Complex networks
- Data mining with graphs
- Mathematics of graphs
- Benchmarking graph technologies
Date and organization of the workshop
Graph-TA2013 is a one-day single-track workshop and will be held in Barcelona, 19.02.2013. The workshop will be very structured but informal at the same time. Thus, we expect to have two separated sessions, one in the morning and one after the lunch. In each session we expect to have several short presentations (20 minutes + 10 min. discussion) grouped by topic, and then discussion sessions where all the participants can give their thoughts and suggestions on the presented works. Further, we would like to encourage face-to-face meetings during the off-session times in order to give the researchers the opportunity to start collaboration contacts with other participants.
Given the nature of the workshop, we appeal to the willingness of the attendees to give a short talk and be pro-active during the event. We encourage all participants to prepare a title and abstract of their presentations that will be included in the web page of the workshop when the agenda is configured. In the event of too many presentation proposals, we'll restrict them to one per research group attending. After the workshop, the presentations will also be included in the Graph-TA web page if the authors authorise us to do so.
Attending the workshop
The registration fee to the workshop is free of charge and includes:
- Online access to the workshop presentations (upon author permission)
- Coffee breaks.
- Lunch will be together in a restaurant on campus at the price of about 12€ for those who want to join.
Please, include your choice of joining the group for the lunch. Suggestions for other people to attend are welcome, but their acceptance will be restricted upon space and infrastructure availability.
We kindly ask you to confirm your attendance before 31.01.2013 in order to facilitate the organising tasks, by sending an e-mail to email@example.com.
Graph-TA is organized by the DAMA-UPC (Data Management) group of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTec.
