LDBC is very happy to announce the 2nd International Workshop on Benchmarking RDF Systems (BeRSys 2014). The workshop is co-located with VLDB2014 and will take place in Hangzhou, China in the begining of September 2014 (exact date to be announced).
LDBC is proud to announce that Andrey Gubichev and his colleagues of TUM won the graph analytics-targeted SIGMOD 2014 programming contest. In the presentation to the plenary SIGMOD/PODS room, the LDBC Social Network Benchmark data generator, which was used in this contest, was explicitly named, thanked and praised.
The focus of this new workshop is to elicit discussion and description of application areas and open challenges in managing large-scale graph-shaped data.
Experiences including use-case descriptions, war stories and benchmarks as well as system descriptions are important ingredients of the meeting.
The workshop is co-chaired by Josep Larriba Pey (UPC) and Peter Boncz (CWI).
The LDBC consortium are pleased to announce the fourth Technical User Community (TUC) meeting. This will be a one-day event at CWI in Amsterdam on Thursday April 3, 2014.
The event will include:
Graph-TA, organized by DAMA-UPC (Data Management) group of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech, aims at encouraging researchers to present their current work and interact in an informal set up in order to foster collaboration with other colleagues. Thus, the workshop will provide a forum for presenting and discussing research results and applications in the domain of graphs from different communities, i.e.
The LDBC consortium are pleased to announce the fourth Technical User Community (TUC) meeting. This will be a one-day event in London on the 19 November 2013 running in collaboration with the GraphConnect.
The event will include:
Peter Boncz, Keynote Speaker together with Jeff Ullman at IDEAS'13 conference to be held in Barcelona Oct 9-11, 2013:

LDBC will be present at GraphLab 2013. The main aim of GraphLab 2013 workshop is to bring together top researchers from academia, as well as top data scientists from industry with the special focus of large scale machine learning on sparse graphs. The workshop agenda includes talks and demos about the hottest graph processing systems out, including Neo4j and DEX developed by the LDBC partners Neo Technologies respectively UPC/Sparsity Technologies. LDBC is very happy to announce the 1st International Workshop on Graph Data management Experiences and Systems (GRADES 2013). The workshop is co-located with and sponsored by SIGMOD/PODS 2013 and will take place in New York on 23rd of June 2013.
The BeRSys 2013 workshop will provide a forum where topics related to the evaluation (included, but not limited to,
expressive power, usability and performance) of RDF data management platforms can be discussed and elaborated.
The BeRSys 2013 workshop will be the first workshop dedicated to benchmarking of different aspects of RDF engines.
The objectives of this new workshop are to:
